The Mario franchise is an icon of pop culture and the Mario Bros. franchise is no exception.
Mario Bros.: Super Mario Bros., which has been in continuous development since 1994, has been recognized as one of the most influential video games of all time, with over five billion units sold.
Now, thanks to a new documentary, The Legend of Zelda: The Official Game Guide, fans of the franchise can finally see for themselves how important the game is to the lives of countless people around the world.
The documentary, titled Super Mario Brothers: The Game Guide to Nintendo’s Most Popular Game, is narrated by legendary game critic, Zelda author and Nintendo veteran, Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto, and features interviews with the team behind the game and its creators, Mario creator Shigesato Itoi, Shigerusumi Matsuno, and Miyamoto himself.
The film is a compilation of previously unseen footage and video clips from various Nintendo properties, including Super Mario Land, Super Mario World, Super Smash Bros., and The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages.
The film, which is part of Nintendo’s 30th anniversary celebration of the Super Mario series, will premiere on March 18, 2018 at 8 p.m. on the MyNintendo channel.
