(AP) The GMs parent company says it’s going to replace the sunrooftops in the 2017 Cadillac Cts-V and 2018 Cadillac ATS-Vs with more upholstery.
The automaker says the upgrades are intended to make them more comfortable to ride in.
GM says the new panels will go on the seats, door panels and other interior areas.
GM expects the panels to be installed on the 2019 Cadillac Cmax sedan, which is scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2018.
GM said it will spend $1.5 million on the project.
GM also said it is also adding new materials to the roof and rear of the cars to make the roofs more aerodynamic.
The new roofing is part of a $3.6 billion upgrade to the exterior that began in 2019 and includes new lighting and paint.
